A realistic approach in explaining the dimensions of place formation with emphasis on the people's point of view (case example: housing of the historical context of Tabriz city)

چکیده

The purpose of this article is to explain the dimensions of place formation from the people's point of view with a realistic approach. In other words, the main question of the research is that in examining the roots of the formation of the place, what are the most important conventional dimensions that are considered by the people (experimental builders, experts and residents)? Secondly, another question is what strategies can be considered as design strategies so that contemporary housing has more adaptability to the solved problems of housing in the past? This research was conducted qualitatively, which is textual and semantic in terms of the nature of the data, inductive in terms of the logic of thinking, and interpretive in terms of the levels of analysis. The chosen strategy in this research was based on the foundational data theory, and the analyzes were done using the systematic coding method of Strauss and Corbin with the help of MaxQDA. Since the present investigation is about the customary aspect governing the construction of buildings - houses - it was investigated using semi-structured interviews. Finally, and as an answer to the research question, the results of the collected interviews indicate that it is possible to improve the criteria of the place by paying attention to the two factors of "increasing participation" and "increasing social interactions". In fact, due to the two mentioned factors, the background conditions can be improved to an extent that leads to the result of the research (improvement of location criteria).
