The present study examined the comparative effect of different types of code-switching, i.e., intrasentential, inter-sentential, and tag-sentential switching on EFL learners grammar learning and teaching. To this end, a sample of 60 Iranian female and male students in two different institutions in Qazvin was selected. They were assigned to four groups. Each group was randomly assigned to one of the afore-mentioned treatment conditions. After the experimental period, a post-test was taken from students to examine the effect of different types of code-switching on students’ learning of grammar. The results showed that the differences among the effects of the above-mentioned techniques were statistically significant. These findings can have implications for EFL learners, EFL teachers, and materials’ developers. | ||
